AI Governance

Helping leadership keep the use of AI under direction

AI is often already in use across an organisation before its leadership has had the chance to see the full picture. Deeple helps especially public-sector leaders build that picture, make the decisions it calls for, and keep AI use governed as it keeps changing.

Why this matters

Using AI is not the same as governing it

AI can be in broad use in an organisation before leadership has managed to form an overall picture. Different units move at different speeds, people make their own interpretations, and new use cases appear faster than shared practices can be built to match them.

Leadership's task is not to control every tool or approve every use case. It does need to know what the organisation is aiming for, where the limits of use lie, who is accountable for decisions, and how new situations get assessed. That is what we mean by governing AI — and it is what we help build.

How we work

Three questions, in the order your organisation needs them

01 Map

Form the picture

When you don't yet know where you stand

AI is already in use, but there is no shared picture of it. We find out how AI is actually being used, what is already resolved, and where the most important uncertainties, risks and decisions are.

Outcome: Leadership knows what is in order, what needs resolving, and where to focus next.

02 Align

Make the decisions

When shared decisions are missing

The current state is understood, but the organisation still needs a shared direction and a way of deciding. We help set strategic direction, staff guidelines, responsibilities, and a model for governing AI — to the extent each organisation needs.

Outcome: The organisation has shared guidelines for how AI is used and governed.

03 Govern

Keep it working

When agreed guidelines need to hold in practice

Governing AI does not end when a strategy or governance model is finished. We help put guidelines into practice, build the competence they require, assess new use cases, and track and adjust how AI is used.

Outcome: The organisation can keep AI use under direction as its situation changes.

Who we are

An AI governance partner for the public sector

Deeple works with organisations navigating the shift to AI, and specialises in the public sector. Our own background in Finnish municipal and central government gives us a direct understanding of decision-making, accountability and organisational culture there — an understanding that carries over to other regulated, accountability-driven environments.

Our work combines a practical grasp of AI, knowledge of the operating environment, change leadership, facilitation and responsible use. Our goal is not to do the work for a client, but to help the organisation build its own lasting capability to lead AI.
